APPLES: Eat sensibly

Apples are one of the most popular fruits in the world. They are of different species and are family of the rose plant known for its delicious, pomaceous fruit. Apples are one of the healthiest foods a person can eat. They are high in fiber and vitamin C, and they are also low in calories. They have only a trace of sodium, and no fat or cholesterol.

It's a wonder that we find different colours of apples in the market or stores. There are many lower classifications of apples. There are different shades of red, green and yellow.

Eating an apple a day is healthy but taking all day to eat it may damage the teeth. Experts have recommended that cutting apples into smaller pieces before eating and chewing with the back of teeth can prevent exposing the front teeth from some chemicals. They also recommend rinsing the mouth with water to help wash away the acid and sugars.

Apple seeds are also called pips. According to Tim Sharp, a reference editor, they contain a substance called amygdalin, which can release cyanide, a powerful poison, when it comes into contact with digestive enzymes. Whole seeds will pass through your digestive system relatively untouched, but if you chew the seeds you may be exposed to the toxins. One or two will not be harmful, as the body can handle small doses of cyanide, but if you or a child chews and swallows a lot of seeds, you should seek medical attention immediately.

According to Flores, eating apples in excess will not cause many side effects, but as with anything eaten in excess, apples may contribute to weight gain. Furthermore, apples are acidic, and the juice may damage tooth enamel. A study published in 2011 in the Journal of Dentistry found that eating apples might be up to four times more damaging to teeth than carbonated drinks.

It's Monday. Another beautiful day of the week. Lovelies are getting ready for work, confused about what to wear, worried if they can pull off the look they want. There are various looks to opt for. The classic, casual, elegant, glamorous, simple and feminine, chic, edgy, etc. Here are some suggestions to help in making your decisions on what to wear *kisses*. 

8 must have in your purse

Here are the basic things a lady should have in her purse on a regular basis. As a classic young lady, you should never forget these basic needs.

Identity Card(s)
You should never leave home without any means of identification. It's a MUST. This could be your national identification card, voter's card, driver's license, international passport, etc.

Credit Card(s)
Your Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards are your credit cards. They are used to to carry out online transactions and for cash withdrawal at various points. There are different credit cards such as verve cards, interswitch cards, master cards, etc. If you use a token, have it always. You don't want to get stranded in our cashless policy.

Cash
Always have enough cash to spend and pay for fares. In case, there might not be working ATM around. Don't ever leave the house cashless so as to prevent disappointment and embarrassment.

Make up
As a classic lady, basic make up such as compact powder, lip gloss, lip balm, liner, mascara. You should also have a mirror. It would help to know how you look at a certain time. It wouldn't be nice to have smeared all over your face without your knowledge. Now we wouldn't want that.

Disposable towel
You might want to wipe your hands or other surface. Disposable towel might be packaged tissue. It could also be used to dab smeared make up.

Sanitizer
You don't know the kind of germs you contract on a daily basis. It will be better to reduce it to the minimal by using sanitizers as often as possible. There are various types of sanitizers. There are hand sanitizer, surface sanitizer/ disinfectant, etc. There are also various forms like liquid, spray, etc.

Sunglasses
This is used to protect the eyes from utra-violent rays of the sun. Sunglasses are also used as fashion accessories. Ranging from the nerd look to cat eyed glasses. Taking an umbrella along might not be the best option, most of the time. If u can't afford a Ray Ban, you could always substitute with a Ray Ben. *winks

Peppermint
Once a while, the urge to roll on something in your mouth may occur. Always have a peppermint sweets or gum in your purse. It takes away odor from the mouth caused by certain bacteria. Are you feeling uncomfortable with your breath in public, feeling uneasy, making you quiet? Pop a mint in your mouth and enjoy the conversation.

Don't forget your 8 must have in your purse.

Outfits for the Big, Bold and Beautiful

Every woman is beautiful irrespective of her shape, size, colour, structure or religion. One needs to understand certain tips required to wear outfits that compliment the body shape. This article is for the big, bold and beautiful.

Some find it difficult in choosing outfits that suit them, some call the end result a 'disaster'. Here are some tips to help in avoiding a 'disaster' and pulling off a new or improved you.

Appreciate dresses more. Go for clothes especially dresses of darker colours. One can lean towards brighter colours afterwards. Dark coloured outfits compliment big bodies compared to darker colours.

Wear free knee-length dresses. Opt for knee-length or long to shorter dresses to avoid unnecessary illusions. Also, wear wraps that separate the upper body from the lower body just under the bust. This works for all big, bold and beautiful especially if you have big belly.

Avoid high neck and turtle neck. High neck emphasizes on the size of the bust, making them look bigger than they really are. You don't want the upper part if your body looking bigger than the lower part.

Whenever you wear a fitting outfit that displays and emphasizes on your curves, it shouldn't be too tight that it gives you additional unattractive curves. Also wear medium to long sleeves more often. Short sleeves and sleeveless are cute but wearing them often may become unattractive on you.

When slaying trousers, rock boot cut or pant trousers. Tight jean may appear awkward and reduce your confidence. Jegging and leggings may be suitable after confidence has been built.
Remember, the way you dress determines how you are addressed.

LIP CONTOUR: The New Make up Trend

Towards the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016, lip contouring has become the habit of trend setters. Lip contour or Kylie Jenner lip is all about faking big and voluptuous lips in making them look as natural as possible. Today, professional make-up artists contour the lips of their client. There are a few products you can use in achieving this look with these few steps.

STEP 1

Using a lip liner similar to the natural lip colour,  mark points on the cupid bow downwards, the inner brackets of your lips and the mid section of your lower lip.
After making the points, line the entire lips as you would normally.

STEP 2

Mix in lip balm and lip gloss on your upper and lower lips. There are make-up products that serve as lip plumper but peppermint oil can be used.

STEP 3
Contour the lip. Using a concealer a shade lighter, dab on the mid-section and blend outward as done when creating the ombre look. Highlight the top of the cupid bow with concealer.
Always add lip gloss irrespective of the shade or colour used for the lip. The gloss illuminates the lips making them look bigger.

These 3 simple steps may not give you the perfect Kylie Jenner lip but it will be an improvement and enhance your natural lip beauty.
Remember, do NOT over line your lips to prevent being classified as a clown. Practice makes perfect.

Foods for healthy weight loss

OATMEAL

NUTS

A nut is a fruit composed of a hard shell and a seed, which is generally edible. Many nuts are good sources of vitamin E, vitamin B2, folate, fiber, and the essential minerals magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and selenium. Nuts are most healthy in their raw unroasted form.
Nuts may be high in fat, but it's the good kind. And they are also rich in nutrients, protein, and fiber, which can help stabilize blood sugar. You might get a few extra grams of fat from munching on a handful of nuts, but it's worth it if it helps you avoid reaching for cookies or other sweets. Even peanut butter can be wonderful. LEGUMES

Also, Legumes are an excellent source of resistant starch which is broken down by bacteria in the large intestine to produce short-chain fatty acids used by intestinal cells for food energy.

VEGETABLES

Vegetables can be eaten either raw or cooked and play an important role in human nutrition, being mostly low in fat and carbohydrates, but high in vitamins, minerals and fiber. Many governments encourage their citizens to consume plenty of fruit and vegetables, five or more portions a day often being recommended.
A vegetable is any part of a plant that is consumed by humans as food as part of a savory meal.
Examples of vegetables include; cabbage, lettuce, tomato, sweet potato, yam, peas, spinach, onion, garlic, pepper, etc.

CITRUS FRUITS

Citrus fruits include oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruits, in addition to tangerines and pomelos. Not only are the citrus fruits in this diverse group delicious and refreshing, they earn their definition of an all-star food because they contain compounds called flavonoids, which may have anti cancer properties.

Citrus fruits are also high in vitamin C, and are good sources of folate and thiamin. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and protects the body from damaging free radicals. It is also required for the synthesis of collagen, which helps wounds heal and helps hold blood vessels, tendons, ligaments and bone together. Folate is necessary for cell division and DNA synthesis. Thiamin is a B vitamin important in metabolism.

The vitamin C in citrus fruit strongly enhances the absorption of iron in food. Vitamin C binds to iron in the digestive tract and the iron-vitamin C complex is absorbed together.

crop top (also cropped topbelly shirt,half shirtmidriff shirtmidriff top,tummy topshort shirt, and cutoff shirt) is a top, the lower part of which is high enough to expose the waist, navel or some of the midriff.

The cropping of a top in this manner is generally limited to female garments. Crop tops can be worn on jeans, trousers, bum shorts and many more. It is preferably worn on heels or loafers. Other suitable footwears that are considered "dope" are cool.

You Are What You Eat

Losing weight is about maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It begins with what you eat and how you carry yourself physically, morally, mentally and socially. Here are some tips to help you lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Eat regularly. Don’t starve yourself all in the name of losing weight and keeping fit. In fact, eating at the right time regularly reduces the weight. When you eat at the right time, you tend to consume lesser than when you are actually hungry. When you are hungry, you consume more and also eat in a hurry.
Consume a lot of healthy fruits. Avoid under-ripe and over-ripe fruits. Fruits are a great source of vitamins. Fruits help the body system regulate properly.
Vegetables should be eaten often than occasionally. Veggies are roughages which helps the body system.
Drink a lot of water. Water does a lot of wonders in the body system. When taken in little amount, it can cause the skin to shrink. Water also helps to keep the body hydrated.
Mind the amount of sugar you consume on a daily basis. The more sugar you consume, the more possibility you are making for yourself to be obese. The excess sugar turns into fat. This leads to the excess fat in the body.

That fast food consumption is a modern lifestyle that is dangerous to the health. Junk foods are not healthy food for the body.

That irregular eight hour sleep is bad for the health; physically and mentally.

That use of pills and supplementary for diet is not healthy. Pills, for getting abs, flat belly, big boobs, are bad for the health. Remember, not good comes easy. Regular exercise and trimmed diet should be observed as often as possible.

That hereditary health issues could be cured with constant medical advice and treatment.
